my new jacket...

I started the pattern for the back panel of my jacket last year.

It was to be a wall-hanging depicting Glencoe pass in Scotland with the Sisters standing alongside the pass. Because of technical problems, including "how to make the illusion of mist," the project stalled. When I needed a pattern for my jacket's back panel, I pulled out the pattern, dusted it off, and re-worked it using larger piecework.

I'm very glad I took the time to make this jacket, and to use this pattern as my "rough draft" of the Glencoe wallhanging. It enabled me to solve alot of technical problems.
