CAREER HIGHLIGHTS

· Ran his first sportsman race at Nazareth (PA) Raceway in 1973 in a '40 Ford coupe (No. 43) discarded by his father and finished seventh in the feature.
 
· Won 11 races in 1974 and the sportsman titles at Nazareth (PA) Raceway and Orange County (NY) Fair Speedway.
 
· Took his first competitive modified ride in 1974 when he drove Carl Van Horn's No. 71e in a 4-25's program at Nazareth and finished fourth in the second 25-lapper.
 
· Won his first modified race - a 100-lapper - in May 1975 at Orange County in a Chevy/Gremlin (No. 43) owned by his father.
 
· Won the 1976 Orange County Fair Speedway modified title.

· Won an all-time record 69 modified features and five track titles ('75, '77, '80, '82 & '83) at Bridgeport (NJ) Speedway.
 
· Won 53 modified features, four track titles ('77-'80) and 37 small-block features ('84-'95) at East Windsor (NJ) Speedway.
 
· Drove his first sprint-car on May 30, 1977, with the United Racing Club at Flemington (NJ) Speedway and finished sixth in the feature.
 
· Won his first-ever URC feature on June 10, 1978, at Bridgeport Speedway while driving the pink No. 2 Pete Sacks sprint car.
 
· Has 17 career sprint-car victories with the United Racing Club.
 
· Has won at least one Central Pennsylvania sprint-car race at Williams Grove, Penn National and Lincoln Speedways.
 
· Raced the No. 04 TQ-midget roadster in January 1980 on the indoor track at Convention Hall in Atlantic City, NJ.
 
· Won the pole for the 1982 Schaefer 200 while driving the Statewide Hi-Way Safety No. 3 modified during Super DIRT Week XI at the New York State Fairgrounds in Syracuse, NY.
 
· Drove the No. in Nance Speed Equipment sprint car in 1983 World of Outlaws competition.
 
· Won a 50-mile USAC Championship Dirt Car race at Nazareth (PA) National Motor Speedway on July 3, 1983 (his 27th birthday) driving the Mataka Bros. No. 3n1 in his first and only Silver Crown start.
 
· Began superspeedway racing in 1985 in NASCAR's Late Model Sportsman Series (now known as the Busch Grand National Series) driving the No. 85 5 & H Racing 1977 Pontiac Ventura.
 
· Finished 15th in the 1986 NASCAR Busch Grand National Series Goody's 300 at Daytona International Speedway.
 
· Was crew chief for Bobby Allison in selected 1986 Busch GN races.
 
· Won the 1986 DIRT Winter Tour Championship.
 
· Won the 1986 Small-Block Modified Championship at Flemington
 
· Won the 1986 New Jersey State Modified Championship.
 
· In 1986 became first driver to win a guaranteed starting spot in all the events - modified, small-block modified and sprint cars-that make up Super DIRT Week in Syracuse, NY.
 
· Finished 21st in his first NASCAR Winston Cup race driving the No. 80 S & H Racing Ford Thunderbird in the 1987 Miller 500 at Pocono.
 
· Competed in six NASCAR LMS/BGN races with S & H Racing from 1985 through 1987.
 
· Drove the S & H Racing No. 85 to victory in 1987 in the first Miller American 300 (now Wheels 300) - the world's richest dirt-track modified race - at Syracuse, NY.
 
· Honored in 1987 by the Senate of the State of New Jersey with a Resolution citing his career-long racing achievements.
 
· Was 4th in NASCAR's 1988 Winston Cup Rookie of the Year standings.
 
· Won the Heinz Ketch-Up Award for improving the most positions (40th to 13th) in the 1989 NASCAR Motorcraft 500 at Atlanta while driving the No. 80 5 & H Racing Pontiac Grand Prix.
 
· Drove Ken Schrader's Chevrolet in Darlington's 1989 Gatorade 200 NASCAR Busch Grand National race.
 
· Set all-time Flemington Speedway dirt-track modified record (19.19 seconds) on Sept. 30, 1989, in Benny Scheer's A & B Garage No. la.
 
· Won an unprecedented five consecutive ARCA superspeedway races in 1990 at Daytona, Atlanta, Talladega and Pocono (twice) while driving the No. 80 5 & H Racing Pontiac Grand Prix.

· Won the pole for the 1990 ARCA 96 Rock 500k at Atlanta while driving the No. 80 5 & H Racing Pontiac Grand Prix.
 
· Substituted in 1990 for an injured Darrell Waltrip in the No. 17 Hendrick Motorsports/Tide Chevrolet Lumina in NASCAR Winston Cup races at Daytona, Pocono and Talladega.
 
· Finished 13th in the Tide Chevrolet in the 1990 NASCAR DieHard 500 at Talladega.
