Martinis... Shaken, not stirred
What is agent 007 without his famous martini? This section includes his martini drinks, plus my personal variation. The Vesper This martini appeared in the very first novel, Casino Royale. It is Bond's own invention. Here is the recipe: 3 measures of Gordon's Gin 1 measure of vodka 1/2 measure Kina Lillet vermouth Shake it very well until it's ice cold, pour into a deep champange glass. Garnish with a slice of lemon peel.
Vodka Martini This is a standard vodka martini. 4 measures vodka 1/2 measure vermouth Shake until it's ice cold (don't stir it). Pour into a martini glass and garnish with lemon peel.
David Elliott's Vodka Martini I recently discovered a delicious variation on the martini. It's kind of natural. 3 measures vodka 1 measure Smirnoff Citrus Twist vodka 1/2 measure Martini and Rossi extra dry vermouth Shake it until it's ice cold (about 1 minute). Pour into your martini glass. Garnish with the lemon peel
