My Adventures in CCD Imaging

Yes, I'll admit it, I finally took the plunge and bought a CCD camera!  I'm now the proud owner of a Starlight Express MX5 16 bit B&W CCD imager.  I've had the camera for a couple of months now, and I'm still learning the ins and out of CCD imaging.  But from what I've produced so far, I think this has real possibilities!  Check out the images I have taken so far.

The Passaic County Astronomical Association meets on the 3rd Thursday of every month at the Nature Center in Rifle Camp Park.

Our goal:

The goal of the Passaic County Astronomical Association is to provide a place for individuals with an interest in astronomy to meet and share their enjoyment of the hobby.

Membership benefits include participation in club projects, programs, club darkroom usage and the use of telescope equipment at the Nature Center.

Next Meeting Date: Thursday Jan. 18, 2001  7:30 PM

At this meeting our program will be on Astronomy reference materials.  Please bring up your favorite astronomy books, star charts, computer programs etc. for discussion.  We will also be starting on the 12" mirror grinding project.  If it is clear, we may get a chance to do some observing through the clubs telescopes.  The club membership has been growing steadily, and if that continues we will start looking for a club dark sky site.
