AID TO AMERICAN CHILDREN

Recently Healing the Children donated a Realty Works Doll to Deron School in Montclair, NJ.

Deron School is a specialized school for special teenagers. The school offers private day programs tailored to the student’s age and development group.

Rena Tolsma, Coordinator for HTC’s Aid to American Children Program presented the doll to Principal Marsha Rein to help students realize the work and responsibility of having a baby and to help with the prevention of teenage pregnancy.

Students will take turns caring for this life doll. The doll is computerized and monitors if the student did not feed the doll, change its diaper, let the doll cry for long periods or if the doll was shaken or abused.
