The Paradise Fishing Club stocks quality brown trout ranging in size from 12" to 23, and has donated more then 13,000 prime trout to the waters of Big Swartswood Lake since it's regular stocking program was initiated in 1975. All Paradise Fishing Club trout carry more jaw tags that enable club personal to maintain useful records concerning effective stocking date and growth data.
The Paradise Fishing Club presently has a Senior and Junior memberships of over 125 members who unselfishly donate their time and dues towards the stocking of trout in this public body of water.......which benefits ALL anglers. The majority of all moneys gathered by Club dues and donations are used for stocking purpose.
Club benefits include free food and drink during the
club's Annual Children's Pan fish Derby.
Sandwiches or other refreshments are served at the end of each of the three
( 3 ) regular general meetings held during the spring and early summer.
Our Annual Fishing Contest covering all species of
fish for both junior and senior members adds incentive for club members
to enjoy leisure times and break away from their work routines. Trophies
are awarded for the largest fish entered in both Senior and Junior categories.
The Paradise Fishing Club is public-spirited and very much concerned with the ecological factors that persistently effect the lake. communications is maintained with our state fisheries biologist regarding all aspects of swartswood's water quality and trout fishery. The efforts of the PFC membership played a major role in securing State and federal moneys to install and maintain the aeration system now in place to improve our water quality.
